Travel Soccer
Cardinal Soccer Club currently has travel teams which are playing in OHTSL. Each team competes against other clubs in regular season matchups in competitive divisions in a promotion and relegation style league. Teams are also able to participate in several tournaments per year.
Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Cardinal Soccer Club has teams between U9-U15 for boys and girls.
High School teams offered in the Spring.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Fall and Spring seasons are included with fees. The Fall season runs from August-October, and the Spring season runs from April-June.
Tryouts are at the beginning of June 2024 for the Fall 2024- Spring 2025 seasons.
Indoor training and games, as well as futsal training, are also offered during the Winter.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices and home games are played in Mentor.
Away games are played across Northeast Ohio within a 1-hour drive of Mentor.

Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Teams practice 2-3 times per week during each season.
Goalkeeper training included in cost when available.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play 8-games each season, Fall and Spring. League games are typically played on Sundays with occasional Saturday or weeknight games.
Tournaments usually include a minimum of 3 games, as well as an opportunity to play in a championship game.
Uniforms
Are uniform kits provided or are they purchased separately?
Uniforms are part of the team fees! Each kit includes two jerseys, one pair of shorts, two pair of socks and a backpack.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Tournament participation and Indoor training and games are at an additional cost.
Travel Soccer 2024-2025
Highlights of this program:
Designed for boys and girls seeking a higher level of training.
This program will challenge each child to reach their potential as a soccer player and a team-mate.
Players will receive training twice weekly during each season by a licensed, experienced coach.
Registration will include both Fall and Spring seasons. Indoor programs will be offered separately for Winter soccer.
Each season will consist of up to 10 weeks of training and 8 games against other NE Ohio travel teams. (4 home games and 4 away games).
Girls may try out for Boys' teams if they wish.
The ideal situation is for every gender and age group to be specific; however, some age groups or genders may be combined if registration numbers require it. You will be notified if this becomes necessary.
Cardinal Soccer Club participates in travel soccer through the Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL). The league comprises 111 communities and 1028 teams throughout Northern Ohio, with skill-based geographical brackets. The league is a proud member of US Club Soccer.
TRYOUTS
Teams will be built based on a skills try-out during the week of June 3rd - June 6th in age and gender-specific evaluations based on birth year.
Monday and Tuesday, June 3rd and 4th: Girls 2010 - 2012, 5:30pm - 6:30pm at Ridge Elementary School.
Monday and Tuesday, June 3rd and 4th: Boys 2010 - 2012, 7pm - 8pm at Ridge Elementary School.
Wednesday and Thursday, June 5th and 6th: Girls 2013 - 2017 5:30pm - 6:30pm at Ridge Elementary School.
Wednesday and Thursday, June 5th and 6th: Boys 2013 - 2017, 7pm - 8pm at Ridge Elementary School.
MAKEUP DATE: For those unable to attend the above sessions, CSC will hold a make-up evaluation on Monday, June 10th, and Tuesday, June 11th, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm for all ages at Ridge Middle School. Please get in touch with our Travel VP to RSVP for the makeup evaluations at csctravelvp@gmail.com.
Evaluations will be completed by our senior coaching staff along with some of our prospective travel coaches if necessary.

TRYOUTS ARE FREE !!!
Only players assigned to a team will be billed a full-program fee of $350, which must be paid before July 15th. Payment plans and financial aid are available. Please email the club registrar at cardinalsoccer.registrar@gmail.com for more information.
New uniform kits will be issued for all players this year, and only new players will receive a backpack.
